RDC Golf Group Adds Olde York Country Club to its Roster of Courses
MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J.-–RDC Golf Group, Inc. (RDC), a leading golf course ownership and management company, announces that it has signed a long-term contract to lease Olde York Country Club in Columbus, New Jersey. As of May 1, RDC assumed responsibility for all aspects of the club’s operation including staffing, golf course maintenance and management, marketing and hospitality services. RDC now owns, operates and/or consults for six golf facilities in New Jersey, including the renowned Forsgate Country Club and Blue Heron Pines Golf Club.
Since its opening over 15 years ago, Olde York Country Club has been heralded as one of the state’s finest private facilities. The centerpiece of this 180-acre tract of breathtaking land is the 18-hole, Gary Player signature design golf course. Named one of the “Best in the State” by Golf Digest for many years, the course at Olde York is a tribute to nature with its fairways and greens brilliantly carved out among native fescue grasses and stands of mammoth oak and maple trees.
In addition to the stellar golf course, Olde York boasts a modern clubhouse (built in 2002) that features casual dining in either the grille room or on the patio that overlooks the picturesque golf course; gourmet cuisine in the formal dining room; a state-of-the-art conference room for meetings; and elegantly appointed locker rooms that step out to an outdoor patio with views of the eighteenth hole.
The club also features an aquatic facility with a children’s pool and a sparkling, resort-style pool for families as well as a separate Grand Ballroom facility that can accommodate anywhere from 50-150 guests.

According to Olde York owner Ed Eget, the decision to lease the facility was not made lightly but the selection of RDC was a very easy one: “I was very familiar with RDC and have the utmost respect for them. I have tremendous confidence that they will run the property efficiently and profitably,
perhaps even better than we did.”
RDC will continue to operate Olde York as a private country club and will honor all current memberships and hospitality contracts. Eric J. Quinn, currently General Manager of the RDC-owned Blue Heron Pines Golf Club, will expand his responsibilities to include serving as the General Manager of Olde York.

Golf Course Ownership and Management Company Awarded Middlesex County Contract
Monroe Township, NJ-–RDC Golf Group, Inc. (RDC), a leading golf course ownership and management company headquartered in Monroe Township, New Jersey, announces that it has been awarded an operational advisory services contract for the Middlesex County (NJ) Improvement Authority’s (MCIA) three golf facilities: Tamarack Golf Course in East Brunswick; The Meadows at Middlesex Golf Course in Plainsboro; and the Raritan Landing Golf Course in Piscataway. RDC now owns or manages nine golf courses at seven locations from Florida to New Jersey.
Beginning this month, RDC will work with the MCIA to analyze current golf and hospitality operations and the company will offer recommendations for marketing the facilities, rounds generation, systems implementation (tee times, etc), and course maintenance. Since its opening in 1993 by New Jersey native Christopher Schiavone, RDC has rapidly become a recognized industry leader in golf course ownership and management. In addition to providing operational advisory services, RDC also actively acquires properties and offers management, financial and marketing services to clients.
“RDC looks forward to applying its professional experience to the Middlesex County Improvement Authority’s portfolio of golf courses. RDC’s Galvin Named To T-Links Board
--Napier Moves To Company Headquarters--
Monroe Township, NJ-–RDC Golf Group, Inc. (RDC), a leading golf course ownership and management company headquartered in Monroe Township, New Jersey, announces that company principal and Executive Vice President Matthew Galvin has been named to the Board of Directors of T-Links National Tee Time Reservations Network.
Last year more than 5.5 million golf rounds were booked online through T-Links, making it the largest internet-based tee time reservation network in the United States.
Galvin joined RDC in 1996, and he directs all business development acquisitions and finance functions for the company. RDC currently operates, manages and/or provides advisory services to eight golf courses in six locations along the East Coast.
Prior to joining RDC, Galvin served in acquisition and project management positions for American Golf and was instrumental in the company’s growth from 47 courses to 111 courses in three years. Galvin received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of New Hampshire and a MBA from Pepperdine University.
In other company news, John Napier, general manager of the formerly RDC-managed Bergen Hills Country Club, will now serve as vice president of field services for RDC and will be based out of the company’s headquarters. Napier’s duties will include overseeing various operations-related projects, assisting with business development and coordinating the transition of new golf courses into the RDC portfolio.
Napier joined RDC in April of 2004 and managed the operations of Bergen Hills Country Club for the company until the facility’s sale to new ownership late last year. With Napier at the helm, Bergen Hills embarked on an ambitious program that included restoring the condition of the classic golf course, improving the pace of play, and renovating the clubhouse grill and bar.
